4th Of July Decor

Quick! Share 4th of July before it’s like, Valentine’s Day.

Okay. So this broad was pretty damn excited for July.

1) I finally have my own house to decorate and 4th of July was the first holiday that came around in my new digs. I may have burst out the decor a wee bit prematurely. Whaaat?

2) David and I were getting married on July 1st and having a 4th of July weekend honeymoon.

OMG, I’m one of those annoying women of the internet who JUST GOT MARRIED AND CAN’T STOP TALKING ABOUT IT.

LOL. I’ll do better. I promise.

Maybe.

Actually, no, because I still need to share our 4th of July weekend/Honeymoon with all of you sweet thangs.

But until then, here is our little honeymoon home, all decked out for summer and the 4th of July.

Behold!

Yes. David was watching X-Files while I was taking these pics.

But without further ado…

My 4th of July Village! (Fist in mouth!)

Yes, the Ferris wheel plays jovial music with hints of children’s laughter piercing the jolly July air. I also have a soundbox for the firework display, that makes the sound of fireworks along with “oohs and ahhhs” from a crowd LOL.

Next step is to buy fake grass for the baseball game, with possible miniature field lights. Thanks to my quick check on Ebay, they totally make those. I’m also looking for a miniature Dairy Queen figurine and maybe just one more patriotic house. With bunting! And maybe a band to play in the gazebo???

Is this a hobby or a mental illness?

Actually…maybe keep that to yourself.

Love this Americana house. I got most of these pieces from Ebay. I believe this house was from Avon!

Of course it is my goal to have my 4th of July decor to be waaaaay more extra than this.

I know, #goals.

But anyway, in the meantime, I’m getting absurdly impatient for the fall and Halloween.

Ugh. Target Halloween, WHERE ARE YOU.

xoxo

Courtney.
