First Morning Married

I’m desperately trying to update this blog on LIFE before it becomes like, 2023, or something.

I just shared our honeymoon in sweet lil’ Strawberry just this morning but I still wanted to share our first morning together as Mr. and Mrs. because, honestly? That was my favorite part of getting married.

Can I be real? Weddings are freaking stressful. Beautiful, but stressful. We did our wedding small JUST to avoid the inevitable stress and details/stress. I could not BELIEVE our small wedding was still to-do heavy. I was so mentally exhausted by the time of our wedding day I was frazzled.

The wedding day went be insanely fast. I felt like we were in some forward spinning time warp. Suddenly we were walking up the aisle, getting married, and boom! Married!

But then the next morning, everything was calm. We were married.

My favorite wedding moment was when we both sat on the front porch swing, the same front porch we got married on, in calmness, munching on cherries and drinking leftover wedding Diet Coke LOL.

We then walked to the diner next door, Barry’s Pie Pantry in Prescott, and had some breakfast. You best believe I ate ALL the carbs with absolute impunity.

I love this old yellow house. And the porch! SWOON!

That little yard. Such a daydream.

Boy, I love that city, Prescott.

I love how this house had a life size Uncle Sam by the front door. Putting that idea in my back pocket, ha! Granted…the closer I got I SWEAR it was some Halloween figure. Thoughts? Looks a little… interesting LOL.

Hey! You gotta do what you gotta do to be FESTIVE.

But the very best of that morning–a good ole kitschy HOT DOG STAND.

We were on our way out towards Strawberry but I emphatically told David we MUST stop at the Hot Dog Stand. Delicious hot dog, yes, of course, but mostly for the photo op. I am a woman of my time after all.

Lots of love,

Mrs. Damn Claridge
