Easter 2022

Hello Dear Darling Internet! Happy (belated) Easter!

Dropping in to blast off our Easter holiday photos. And yes, I’m chronically behind. We shall see if I EVER improve.

But my usual story of “sorry I haven’t blogged in awhile” is getting boring/typical so I’m just going to bite my tongue and share pictures. Huzzah!

Our little entryway table, whose only purpose is to host holiday decor, duh. But behold our new federalist mirror that we found in an antique store in Wickenburg! Really goes along with our rustic/desert/Americana look I’m aiming for. Alas, we’re here to talk about EASTER.

Moving on!

I’m totally a hostess with the mostest wannabe. Like…I’m really not THAT woman genuinely, but I like to think I am. I devour Better Homes and Gardens, Martha Stewart, Country Living magazines–never was into fashion magazines even when I was a teenager. I love all that domesticated shit–but I don’t exactly consider myself an expert by any means. I’m inspired by pretty pictures on Pinterest and totally spazz my way through.

But one of the things I do try to stuff into my crazy holiday hostess imposter schedule is FRESH FLOWERS.

I found these colored hydrangeas at Safeway and impulsively threw them into the cart along with some daffodils. I couldn’t help it. But honestly…these flowers just BRIGHTENED MY DAY AND LIFE for the five days they were alive LOL.

Our little Easter kitchen in our little humble abode. The Peep pillows were a complete impulse buy at 15 bucks a piece. David and I actually went into the grocery store just to buy a simple gallon of milk and I got sidetracked by the holiday aisle which is my MO. David soon found me with two peeps in my arms and rolled his eyes LOL.

I want to eventually buy one for each chair. But sixty bucks for Peep pillows feels, you know, INSANE. So I will just do here it and there and not even think about how much the totality cost of my Peep Pillow collection.

I’ll finish with our Easter dinner. I’m a staunch defender of my circa 1960’s Easter menu. It is the only holiday I am like this.

You MUST have ham with cherries and pineapple. You MUST have 7 layered salad. You MUST have ambrosia salad. You MUST have deviled eggs. And you absolutely MUST have coconut cake.

Love & Peeps,

Courtney
