June is every royal watcher’s dream. A mass of royal events in quick succession: Trooping the Colour, Garter Day, lovely garden parties, and, ta-freaking-da! The Royal Ascot.
The Royal Ascot is the American equivalent to the Kentucky Derby but is devastatingly more dapper and utterly British. The Royal Family always attend, parading in open carriages on the green.
The dresses, but especially the hats, are story book GORGEOUS.
Allow me to gush, ahem:
The Royals
I adore the Royal Family but my favorite is by far Princess Catherine who did not attend this year *she said with a sigh* due to her cancer treatment. Royal events are not the same for me without her there.

However, Princess Catherine’s mother and father, Michael and Carol Middleton, were in attendance. So at least some Middleton Magic!

I really like Princess Eugenie’s outfit! I like the sea foam dress with the giant pale pink rose. It’s a pity the dress wrinkled but I still love the outfit!

Edward and Sophie, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh (left) look so regal! I love Duchess Sophie and love her dress!

Prince William with Mike Tindall, the husband to Zara Tindall, Prince William’s cousin.

Another day, another pretty pastel outfit for Princess Eugenie. I also really love King Charles’ outfit (right) which is serving serious Easter Sunday vibes.

A closer look at Duchess Sophie’s gorgeous dress with the all over whimsical floral appliqués.

I’m really liking Queen Camilla’s hat (above.)
I spy with my little eye the prodigal royal, Fergie, in the midst.

Looking at these dresses, I curse my ancestors for leaving England. I was meant to be an English Rose and wear pretty hats and drink tea!

This “Ahana” dress (above” by designer Beulah London seems to have become a staple on the London social scene. I’ve seen so many Royals and British society women wear this dress and in all kinds of beautiful colors the past few years.

Okay, this dress (above) is so striking! I’m loving the luxe ruffles and I’m really adoring the bold yellow shoe paired with the all black ensemble. Not totally loving the orange purse paired with it but I’ll let it pass LOL.

And THIS all red ensemble is lovely, lovely, lovely.
The British really do everything the best. Basic American here is marveling that such care was taken to have all the reds in her outfit perfectly match, from the dress to her shoes to her hat. Such a gorgeous look!

This blue dress is giving serious 1950’s Vogue vibes.

THIS dress (below) is my favorite. Kate Spade meets High Tea. That pearl necklace? Ugh!

Until next year!
