three months of ollie

Be still my heart, my baby boy is now getting deliciously chubby, giggly and is (gasp!) three months old.

I am already enjoying three months so much. He has started smiling and giggling. Everyone loves a smiling, giggling baby with chubby rolls galore but when it’s YOUR smiling, giggling baby with chubby rolls galore, it is just a different kind of happy.

A lil’ bit about our boy Ollie:

*He still just LOVES his bath time. He can be screaming his little cute head off but the minute he hears the bath water running, he will calm down instantly. But once you plop him down in his baby tub, he gets this little mischievous grin as if he is just the coolest baby in all the land.

*He laughs now which is honestly the very best. I like to think he has a sense of humor. Granted he’s laughing at me saying things in a really stupid way, so time will tell.

*He still loves his fists. His fists are usually balled up, with his little thumbs snug between his middle and pointer fingers. He sometimes looks like the fighting Irish with one fist by his chin, and the only fist out fighting. I would love to find some baby boxing gloves because he definitely looks like he’s boxing. One moment while I open a search on Etsy…

*He is the craziest most restless sleeper in the world. He will thrash his head back and forth, back and forth. Or he will start with his head on your shoulder and suddenly he has descended down the precipice of your torso to be laying sideways and his face smashed into your elbow and you have no recollection how he got there. Or he’ll use his feet to blast off from your belly and hit you in the chin. It is honestly quite hilarious but also a tad annoying.

But alas–I know these little monthly updates are cliche but I can’t help enumerate all the little ways I’m getting to know and love my Ollie boy.

Onward ho to four months, my little guy!

Love,

Momma
