Behold! our Valentine’s Day decor!
the kissing booth
My lil’ darlin’ puppy love kissing booth. All together now! Awww! Okay but really, I got these Valentine’s dogs from Target a couple years ago and I just freaking adore them. The Dalmation and his heart shaped spots? COME ON!
And yes, aren’t I the clever one, putting some Hershey Kisses at the kissing booth LOL.

But I’m really here for my kitten, Huck. Yes, even with him swatting away my affections with a prompt swat to the head.

my v-day tablescape

My name is Courtney and I believe in prettily set tables and all that JAZZ.

Multi-colored roses. Sigh. I love a fresh flower arrangement for the holidays. Just pulls in all of the decorations together, makes the space look so much more cozy and homey:)
Also–heart shaped sugar cookies with pink and red frosting. Ugh!

The fun thing about getting married with the possibility of babies (fingers crossed) in the future, is the conscious effort of creating traditions. Holidays and traditions are essentially synonymous, and one of the things I always wanted to make into my lil’ V-Day tradition with my own family is to bake giant heart shaped sugar cookies with pink and red frosting. I wanted to spell out everyone’s names in frosting and use it as a place card for a fancy schmancy V-day breakfast or for dinner.
I finally did it this year! HOWEVER– I need to improve my frosting penmanship. Yikes. This year I settled for just David’s and my initials LOL.

You can see where I tried to spell out my name on the “C” cookie but was quickly turning disastrous so I tried to wipe up the red frosting, making my cookie resemble a nosebleed. Yummy.

v-day dinner

My adorable new V-Day outfit for our quiet V-Day dinner at home. Let’s face it, where we were living in Thatcher, AZ, there aren’t any nice restaurants to go to for V-Day. So I forced David to eat by candlelight, duh.
We had spaghetti and meatballs. So of course, not only did I force David to eat by candlelight where “he couldn’t see his food” I also forced him into a Lady and the Tramp picture op. Look closely at his face in the pics below. He was losing patience with his crazy ass wife LOL. But did crazy ass wife care?
Nope.

Little Huck jumped up and joined us for dinner LOL.

Huck
Just as I was loading the pic on the left onto the blog, I squealed to David while he was watching some football documentary on Netflix “Ohhhh myyyyy gosh! David, look how LITTLE Huck was ?!?!?” as if he was our firstborn child. LOLOL.
I know. I’m totally obsessed with my damn cat. I’m THAT woman. I’m in my crazy cat lady era, as the kids are putting it these days.
Pray for David, guys.
Also pray for this blog, that I can keep it updated!
xoxo,
Courtney C.
